Resident Evil is Coming to Dead by Deadlight

Dead by Deadlight is a multiplayer horror game that’s been haunting gamers for almost five years, and if you missed it, its developer is preparing new content to celebrate with everyone in the best way possible.

Behaviour Interactive recently announced that it has partnered with Capcom to bring some of the most popular Resident Evil characters to the world of Dead by Deadlight. This new chapter will bring two Survivors, a Killer and a map for players to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the game.

Who are the new playable characters? you might be wondering. On the Survivors’ side, we have Leon Kennedy and Jill Valentine, two of the most beloved Resident Evil protagonists. Each will have three perks that will make surviving a little bit easier, if you know how to use them off course.

On the Killers’ side, we have Nemesis, the nightmare inducing villain from Resident Evil 3. This Killer can infect Survivors with its tentacles in order to have more power and longer tentacle reach (sounds disgusting, I know). As if that wasn’t enough, he will also have help from AI controlled zombies that will flood the map.

Mathieu Côté, Game Director for Dead by Daylight, claimed: “We could not have dreamed of a better way to celebrate our fifth anniversary than by welcoming the legendary characters from Resident Evil into our universe. They are at the root of all horror in video games and we are humbled to be able to honor that legacy with a new chapter, thus cementing our own position as the Hall of Fame of Horror. We are so very grateful to Capcom for everything they've done in the last 25 years to bring us immersive, terrifying games. It is an incredibly proud moment for us.”

The Resident Evil chapter will arrive on June 15 and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Google Stadia.
